Lexie

Lexie has never really been into pacifiers.  But ever since she discovered her hands a month ago she's been chewing and sucking on them like crazy. Unfortunately it also means she drools all over herself at the same time.  She completely soaks herself several times a day.  When she uses a pacifier she doesn't drool. Well I finally got her interested and now she likes it.  Not all the time but sometimes.

Family

My dear grandmother passed away on July 6.  I was fortunate enough to be able to travel to Kentucky to go to her funeral.  Lexie came with me and got to meet a lot of my extended family.  Despite the reason for being there, it was a great trip.

Meeting her great grandpa Vernon Lawrence.

Lexie had a lot of fun with my cousins.  This is my cousin Nissa.

My grandpa Vernon and my sister Chiara

This is Lexie's second cousin Hayden. He was such a sweetheart.  He took such a liking to Lexie, it was adorable. He kept wanting to hold her and was talking to her and reading her books and playing peek a boo.  Lexie sure loved all the attention. She smiled at him an awful lot.

Poor thing. Lexie was fighting a cold the whole time we were there so she slept in the bouncy seat a lot so she could breath better.

This is my cousin Nissa and my wonderful Aunt Sandi who hosted all of us.Thanks so much for letting us come stay with you.

4th of July Weekend

We went to Houston the weekend before 4th of July to visit Uncle Jonny and Aunt Cassie.  First we went to see Brave. The kids loved it.  We even took Lexie with us and she slept through the whole thing.  I didn't get any pictures of the first day we were there. The second day we went to the beach in Galveston.  Kylie loved it.  She went right into the water and we couldn't get her out.

This is where Lexie spent the day.  She started out on the blankets and then she sat in the bouncy seat in the back end of Jonny and Cassie's car.

Landan loved the ocean.  He usually hates water in his face but he wasn't scared at all. He was sad when it was time to go.

Gavin hated the water.  We forced him in once just so he could try it but he didn't like it.  He spent all of his time on the sand.

Uncle Jonny thought it would be fun to feed the seagulls. Unfortunately that meant they kept flying round our food and pooping on our cars.

My little sparklers.  This is after the beach so their hair is a bit messed up.  But they're still so cute.

Then Eppie made a surprise visit from China. We didn't think we'd see her until Nov. but she had to make an emergency trip back and arrived a few hours before we had to leave.  It was great to get to see her.

Hailey sure loved the baby.  She was so sweet with her.

Thanks Jonny and Cassie for letting us come stay with you!
