My First Pigtails

I know, my mommy's silly. I barely have any hair but she's just so excited to have a little girl's hair to play with she couldn't wait. These are clippies she made for my hair and she decided to see if she could make them into pigtails yet. Not quite, but almost there.

Enjoying the swings. We are re-doing the playscape and this was the last day to enjoy the swings before Kevin knocked them down. More pictures to follow.

Spring Break

My mother and sister came to visit with my cute nephews for Spring Break. We had a fun day at the Science and Nature center at Zilker Park here in Austin. After that they went down to San Antonio to visit my brother and his wife and daughter. We went down there as well to go to a kite festival but I forgot my camera and don't have pictures of it. Here are the ones I have.
The boys woke up really early so Aunt Chiara put on a movie so she could get a little more sleep.

Look Ma! No Hands.
Little stinker. She'll climb all the way on the table if you don't strap her into her chair.

Sittin' pretty.

Roseola

Well, I didn't get my wish. Landan hasn't been the last one to get sick. Just as Landan was recovering, Kylie came down with a high fever. I thought it was the same thing as Landan. It started on Thurs and by Sat. it was pretty bad so I took her to the doctor to make sure it wasn't something else.
Her temp was 104 at the doctor's office. Yikes! They did some labwork and did a flu swab. Turns out she didn't have flu, just a random virus.
Well, today I think I figured out what that virus was. Kylie started getting a rash all over her body today. It's just a bunch of little small red spots, some are flush with her skin and some are slightly raised. Landan had the same thing when he was 10 months. It's called Roseola, and it's one of those communicable childhood diseases that some kids get. Luckily, it's one of the not so dangerous ones. The fever is the worst part.

Besides being sick, she hit another milestone today. She stood up on her own after letting go of something. What a big girl! She's been practicing her new skill all day.

It's really hard to see because the rash isn't very dark but it's there on her skin.

10 months

And here she is, 10 months old already. Luckily she's still tiny so I can pretend she's still little.
It's difficult though when she wants to practice walking around the house with the hippo walker.

And the drama continues...

Not much is really going on at our house, hence the lack of posts. Someone has been sick in our house since the beginning of the year. First it was Landan with strep, then Gavin with an ear infection, then me with the stomach flu. Then Kevin with the stomach flu. Then Kylie with an ear infection. Then Gavin with Bronchiolitis. And most recently, Kylie with Bronchiolitis (which I am convinced was RSV) and Landan just missed several days of school with a high fever. Hopefully this is it and we can all be healthy now that the weather is getting warmer. Hopefully we can have some fun things to post about.
