So this is what we've been up to for the last 3 months.

Kylie: She is turning into quite the little lady. She has started talking like crazy! She says several 3 word sentences and she babbles a ton. It's so funny because she will say this really long rambling sentence and the last word is the only one that you can understand. Such as " da da do da da up?" It's adorable. She's losing her babyishness and starting to look like a little girl. She's also getting a bit of a temper.

Gavin: He started a new daycare which we like a lot better but he's not that excited about. He doesn't like things to change. He's having a bit of a hard time now that Kylie is getting older and wanted to play with his toys. But lately he's been playing with her nicely which is a nice change.

Landan: He's doing great. He is reading above grade level, and he's doing 3rd grade spelling words already. He's right where he should be with his math too. He's trying out tennis to see if that is a sport he might actually do well at. It's non-contact and constantly moving, so I hope maybe it will be good for him. Kevin is a parent volunteer so he gets to be in there helping keep him focused. He's also continuing gymnastics but that's more of a therapeutic thing, he's not really moving forward a ton with that.

Me: I have been spent the last few months stocking up on freezer meals. I got the idea from a friend of mine who had a baby on 11/11/11 (thanks for the post Jennifer. Great idea). I've been making twice as much for dinners and freezing the second dinner for when the baby came. I've also been swapping babysitting with a friend of mine. Kylie now goes to her house on Tues and Thurs and I watch her little 3 yr old girl and baby on Mon and Wed. Gavin loves it. He's been best friends with this little girl since they were babies. He asks every day if she's coming over. They get along really well. It was good practice to get Kylie ready for having a baby around too.

Kevin: He's doing the same stuff, going to work and being a daddy. Trying to be patient with my pregnant hormones.

Park Day!

Kylie and Landan have become really good friends lately.

On St. Patricks day we went to San Antonio to visit my brother's family. We went to the Riverwalk for a St. Patty's Day festival and Radio Disney was there. So they played a game.

Then we walked around for awhile and then waited for the parade on the water to start.

Just a few December Pics

I've been wanting to post my Christmas pictures but my SD card was full on Christmas Eve so we put the pictures on my sister's computer to have room and they are still on her computer. So until I get them back, here are some other pics I've been taking lately.

Getting ready to watch the BYU bowl game on TV. Daddy got to go to the game himself with my brothers.

Kylie's hairdo. It didn't last long, but it's a little more advanced than just a Pebbles ponytail which is all I can really do most of the time.

Playing outside in the nice 75 degree weather. I know, 75 degrees in
Dec is ridiculous. But today is closer to 50 degrees.

Kylie has been such a little cuddlebug lately. She loves her big brother and he is so sweet to her. He always lets her cuddle with him whenever she wants to and he even shared his stuffed Bolt and blankie (which are sacred and never to be shared with anyone) with her while we were watching a movie. It's really cute to see.

Decorating for Christmas

This year decorating went a lot faster than in previous years. The kids loved it. Even Kylie helped. Now if we could only convince them not to touch it now that it's up.

If you look really close you can see Jasper Frost, the elf that Santa Claus assigned our family this year. He watches over us every day and at night he goes and reports our behavior to Santa. Then in the morning he flies back to our house and hides in a new spot so the kids have to find him.

This is my banana leaf nativity set my mom brought us from Kenya last year. The camel is like the ones from Saudi Arabia that the wise men might have used and the box is made of camel bone and contains real frankincense and muhr and fake gold coins.

Thanksgiving

We had Thanksgiving at our house this year. It's the first time we have had people come to our house for a holiday. It was a little chaotic but it was fun. I had to work Thanksgiving day so we had dinner on Fri. My sister and her family came up from Houston. We did Thanksgiving on Fri, and then on Sat we went to Sea World to see all their Christmas stuff. Enjoy the pictures!

My friend Valerie works in the Beluga whale and dolphin show. She lets me bring visitors backstage to pet the whales sometimes. Thanks so much Valerie!!
