So Blessed...(Part two)

The second thing we have been blessed with is my baby showers. I have had two, one from church and one from my work. The one from church was absolutely beautiful. It was really fun and I got a lot of fun things like clothes and blankets and binkies and wipes. I don't have any pictures yet, but as soon as I get them I will post them. We played a couple of fun games and had some great food. They had a chocolate fountain there. What could be better?

The second baby shower was from work. These guys were so wonderful. We had several things on my list that I wanted that were bigger and all the night shift employees went together to get them. We got a swing and exersaucer and a bathtub and many other great things. None of that stuff was really a necessity but it is really nice to have. Especially the swing.

They even remembered Landan. One lady bought him a bunch of new clothes for the summer. It was so sweet. But the best part was they solved a very difficult problem for us that has had me worried for quite awhile.

We have been wondering what to do about the baby's bed. You see, Landan is still in the crib but it is transitioned to a toddler bed. So we have nowhere to put the baby right now. We've been looking for months on Craigslist to find a bed with a mattress for him that is affordable. The only problem is I'm either at work or I don't have a car since we only have one right now to go get it. So it gets sold before I can get there. Well two ladies kindly solved that problem. They actually found a twin sized bed on craigslist with the mattress and bought them for me. So now Landan can have a twin sized bed and the baby can have the crib. I had registered for a pack-n-play hoping I would get it and it would hold the baby until we could find a bed for Landan but this works out great. I thought it was so wonderful of them to think of us and find a way to take some of our stress away. A twin bed is a big purchase and it was so kind of them to think of it.

Landan was very excited to help me open all the presents. He was also obsessed with the cake.

Apparently tissue paper is just as exciting as opening presents. He made quite the mess on the floor and spent several minutes kicking it around.
